I'm using the event guide for a dance event and would like to be able to restrict the number of men and women that sign up.

People register as individuals, so it's possible that lots of women will try to register. Rather than have a seperate registration form (one for men and one for women), can EGuide be trained to only allow a set number of women and men?

This would also be useful to booking other items that may run out before the registration completely closes.

Umm, This is not easy feature.
And it need many restrict rules that depends the purpose.
It can not impliment in eguide, because this is not generalization feature.

For like this case, I preparation plugins feature in eguide. However, the feature is not documented (mean read the sources, sorry). Hacked in PHP yourself or order to professionals (like me ). It will be cost few days work.
